From the Shanty*

I was in the woods,
I was big gamin',
I saw the deer,
and took my aimin'.
I shot that deer done dead.
Those eco-veggie freaks
are always blamin',
but I ain't doin'
no shamin'
'cause deer these days
ain't well fed.

*found scribbled on the back of an envelope from my college days. Thanks to D who collaborated on this creation. No deer were harmed in the writing of this piece.
